Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a highly competent, creative, and professional Head of Medical Staffing to help us develop our Medical Staffing service. You will be an experienced manager with significant experience of working in a Medical Staffing function and providing sound advice, support and guidance on Medical Terms and Conditions.
As a member of the workforce service senior management team, you will undertake the role of strategic and operational lead for our Medical Staffing service. This is a varied remit that will oversee the delivery of a high quality, customer focused, operational service to our 500+ doctors.

Main duties of the job
Working with medical leaders in the Trust, you will ensure the medical workforce is supported and developed in line with local and national changes.
You will be responsible for ensuring ensure job planning and rota development/management meets the needs of our services and satisfies education and development commitments.
Taking a lead with the workforce planning of the Medical workforce you will develop a clear understanding of the current and future needs of BTH to ensure the trust has the right number of medical staff with the right skills both now and in the future.
As Head of Medical Staffing, you will lead, support and develop the function with lead responsibility for the effective management of suppliers and systems within the service.
