The post holder is responsible for helping to ensure that the organisation meets its statutory and contractual obligations regarding domestic services, across the appropriate community services

Main duties of the job

The post holder will have the day to day responsibility of supervising the community domestic service in their areas ensuring the delivery of a high quality, efficient, cost effective service which remains consistent with end user needs.

They will co-ordinate, motivate and communicate with their staff and sometimes with stakeholders in their localities.

They must be capable of working on their own initiative, have a high level practical and theoretical knowledge of the National Cleaning Standards (new addition) .

Essential

  • GCSE English and Maths at Grade C or above
  • British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICSc): Cleaning & Disinfection Quality Guidance standards - experience & appropriate qualifications (Training to be given)

Desirable

  • IOSHH

Knowledge & Experience: General

Essential

  • Experience of Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH)
  • Experience of working within a complex and challenging environment, Managerial experience
  • Experience and familiarity of using the NHS Electronic Staff Record (ESR) System
  • Full working knowledge and experience of using the full suite of Microsoft Office programmes (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

Knowledge & Experience: Specialist

  • Expert in new NHS Cleaning Standards: National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness
  • Full understanding of infection control
  • Full understanding of waste management
