Job summary

An opportunity has come up for a part-time band 6 Children's Physiotherapist to join our team.

Children's Therapy Services are a welcoming, friendly and inclusive multidisciplinary team including Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Speech & Language Therapists. The service has received Outstanding CQC in 2015 and 2018.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with children (0-19 years) with disabilities in a variety of locations, including children's homes, mainstream schools, nurseries, special schools, clinics, hydrotherapy. The role will include working closely with Occupational Therapists and Speech and Language Therapists.

Main duties of the job

To assess, treat and devise programmes, which are then taught to parents, carers and school staff.

You will have responsibility for writing EHCP reports for the children on your caseload, working closely alongside our education colleagues.

You will supervise junior members of the team.

You will have the opportunity to take the lead in a clinical area, which will be discussed on appointment of the post; allowing service development and evidence based practice.
