Job summary

A fantastic opportunity is now available for a Speciality Theatre Manager within our Theatre team. The primary focus of this post is to ensure that the Trust provides high quality care reflecting the beliefs outlined in the theatre philosophy. The Theatre Manager will act as an advocate for patients within the theatre department. This is a permanent post.

Main duties of the job

As the Theatre Manager you will have management responsibility of a specialist area / group of theatres with associated resources and posses highly specialist knowledge of this area and theatre practice in order to offer advice and support to staff out of hours.

You will provide professional and managerial leadership to teams of staff and resources to meet the requirements of the theatre area and provision of a 24 hour theatre service in conjunction with the lead theatre practitioner.

You will actively participate in recruitment and selection of theatre staff, development of policies and promoting clinical excellence within the specialist area. Monitoring financial budgets and contributing to the wider activities of the Trust. The Theatre Manager may participate in providing a 24 hour theatre service.

The successful candidate will be responsible for their own professional conduct in line with NMC/HCPC standards and will adhere to and understand all Trust & local policies and procedure to ensure compliance of theatre staff.
