Job summary

Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust is looking for an experience senior leader to undertake a 12-month Secondment as the Deputy Chief Integration Officer. This role is available immediately and therefore we are looking for a candidate who can join the organisation quickly and fulfil the requirements in the personal specification whilst demonstrating experience outlined in the job description attached.

The Deputy Chief Integration Officer has professional accountability to the Chief Integration Officer (CIO) and a portfolio of work which will contribute to delivery of the Trust's strategic plan, by working in partnership with the Executive Team, Clinical Groups and Directorates, Place Based Partners, other external organisations and commissioners, to achieve the Trust's strategic objectives and to make a positive contribution to the provision of health services across the local health economy.

Whilst this role will oversee the whole of the integration portfolio, the partnership work for this role will be focused on Sandwell.

Potential candidates must have the support of their line manager.

Main duties of the job

  • Extensive management experience at a senior level in the NHS with, responsibility for operational and or clinical service matters, including staff management, budgetary responsibility, performance targets, quality assurance and governance.

Desirable

  • A relevant clinical background

Qualification

  • Educated to Masters' degree level or equivalent.
  • Management qualification, MBA or equivalent.

Desirable

  • ECDL or equivalent Microsoft Office training/ expertise
