Job summary

Do you have experience as a secretary/PA? Do you enjoy working as part of a friendly, professional team? If so, this may be the position you have been looking for.We are looking to appoint a Personal Assistant to provide full secretarial and administrative support to the Admitted Care B Directorate Management Team within the Medicine & Emergency Care Group. This post is for 12 months, to cover maternity leave.

Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential as is a familiarity and expertise in using Microsoft IT packages including outlook.

You must have experience in diary management, with excellent IT skills. You will need to be able to demonstrate exceptional skills in customer care and, in particular, ensure all matters relating to your work are dealt with in a sensitive and timely manner. You will be able to adapt and prioritise your workload and have the ability to work on your own initiative.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be highly organised, reliable and efficient and will have a flexible approach to their role, and able to work on their own initiative.

Duties will include proactive forward planning , diary management and support relevant meetings. You will also be responsible for raising orders and processing invoices, as well as inputting payroll information.

As an experienced personal assistant you should possess excellent organisational skills and be used to working with senior colleagues in a complex, busy environment. In addition, you will be required to arrange and attend meetings including agreeing agendas, collation and distribution of papers, minute taking, and maintaining up to date action logs.
