Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the Gynaecological Ultrasound service within SWB. The post holder will act as a clinical expert in Gynae ultrasound performing and reporting on Ultrasound examinations and will develop and implement best practice.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be required to perform and report on Gynaecological Ultrasound examinations and act as clinical expert in Gynae Ultrasound, taking an active role in teaching. The role includes taking responsibility and managing the provision of high quality gynae ultrasound service, improving patient pathways.

Key responsibilities include: To analyse patient pathways with the MDT, to modernise and improve ultrasound services. Developing and implementing service strategies . Ensure best practice is adhered to following BMUS guidelines. Effective clinical governance and risk management. In addition the post holder will be required to take an active role in teaching.
