Job summary
** To apply for this role, you MUST be competent in CardioTocography (CTG) Monitoring. Candidates will NOT be shortlisted if your application does not make clear that you are competent in this skill. There will be a competency assessment as part of the live interview process.
**You MUST be able to relocate to the UK and commence in post no later than 31st December 2023. This is non-negotiable. We will be using the fast track visa process to enable this move** Please DO NOT apply if you are unable to meet both of these requirements**
This post also requires candidates to have already passed the OET/IELT's (results will be verified via the portals) & CBT exams.
We are providing an outstanding relocation package for successful candidates, this include:

Registrations with the NMC part 1 & 2, plus Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE), plus one re-sit

Main duties of the job
We are seeking to recruit highly motivated, ambitious, kind and enthusiastic midwives to join our team, who are committed to providing high quality, women centered care. We have level 2 Baby friendly accreditation and rated "GOOD" at the last CQC inspection.
This is an exciting opportunity for internationally educated midwives to relocate to the UK as band 5 midwives, with a supportive educational package in place to support progression to band 6 midwife over a 2 year period.
We are looking to recruit midwives who are passionate about making a difference for women & families, to join our team of highly skilled midwives in maternity.
We want to help you develop and enhance your skills and maximise your potential in all aspects of midwifery. We actively encourage staff development and have a fantastic clinical education team to provide our in house, multidisciplinary professional development training. We have excellent links with local universities for post registration development.
About us
Our maternity unit includes a Consultant Led Obstetric Unit - consisting of high risk labour and birth rooms (including one fixed birth pool room), High Dependency Care beds, 2 obstetric theatres and recovery areas, bereavement suite and maternity triage area.
Our newly opened Induction of Labour suite caters for all women attending for inpatient induction of labour and includes facilities for complementary therapies including reflexology.
We also have a 21 bedded postnatal ward and 14 bedded antenatal / transitional care ward.
The Serenity Midwife Led Unit, our award winning alongside birth centre, has five birth rooms and a dedicated assessment area to support 1200 births per year.
Our midwifery posts are rotational across community midwifery & inpatients; including Delivery Suite, Serenity Birth Centre, Antenatal/ Transitional Care ward and Postnatal ward.
We are extremely excited to announce that we will be moving all inpatient services to the BRAND NEW Midland Metropolitan University Hospital in 2024.
As a trust, we care for approximately 6000 births every year and cover a very diverse population.
