Job summary
We require a Senior Infrastructure Network Engineer. The post holder will be required to provide high quality specialist third line technical support for the network environments on and off-site used to support staff within the Trust across a number of system areas such as, HP Aruba/Cisco switches, HP ClearPass, UPS, and Palo Alto firewalls; we are actively working with leading edge technologies. This includes following the ITIL model and working collaboratively on the resolution of incidents, problems, requests, events and significant service disruptions. We have a strong ongoing commitment to training and development of all staff at all levels.
The post holder will also be responsible for strategic planning of the IT infrastructure within specialised areas to ensure it remains in support and fit for purpose. To manage and deliver projects for both internal infrastructure upgrades and decommissions, as well as new services to end users.
Main duties of the job
Provide high quality third line technical support for the network environments on and off-site used to support staff within the Trust.
Prioritising customer service and optimum operational and business benefits.
Provide specialist advice across a number of system areas such as, HP Aruba/Cisco switches, HP Clearpass, UPS, and Palo Alto firewalls.
Planning of the IT infrastructure within specialised areas to ensure it remains in support and fit for purpose.
Management and delivery of projects for both internal infrastructure upgrades and decommissions, as well as new services to end users.
Day to day management of the server technology, its maintenance and security.

- Relevant degree level qualification in IT technologies or demonstrable equivalent experience
- Microsoft qualification (MCP, MCSA etc) or equivalent industry standard qualification
