Job summary

We are seeking to recruit enthusiastic and hardworking doctors to join our Radiology Department as Junior Specialist Doctor (Higher) at City and Sandwell Hospitals. This post will be six months fixed term posts in the first instance starting from September 2022, with the possibility of longer term opportunities within the Trust subject to performance, progress and vacancies. These posts would be at aimed at ST2+ level (ie 2 years post qualification/post foundation level) and whilst not approved training posts we would mirror the training opportunities to those given to training post holders. The JSD Radiology post will allow you to consolidate your experience in a supportive environment, giving you wide ranging clinical exposure and training in a progressive Trust that has won numerous national and local awards. We would be keen to work with successful applicants and help you continue to build your Radiology Career.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidates will have at least 2 years experience in Radiology, full GMC Registration with a license to practice and up to date BLS certification. Recent acute hospital experience at ST2 level, or equivalent (within the last 12 months) of at least 6 months duration is essential. Knowledge of the workings of the NHS is preferable.

About us

The Trust was given approval in July 2014 to build the Midland Metropolitan hospital which will open in 2023.
