Job summary

There is an exciting opportunity within the trust for a Podiatrist with a specialist interest in MSK Biomechanics.

Main duties of the job

  • Expert management of an MSK Podiatry case load
  • Coordination of the Podiatric Neurology caseload
  • Use of injection therapy to manage chronic MSK injury.
  • Use of shockwave therapy to treat recalcitrant injuries
  • Joint work with the wider MDT team, including MSK physiotherapy, Orthotics, Orthopedics and Rheumatology.
  • Line management of band 5 and 6 Podiatrists
  • Service evaluation and development

  • Post graduate masters modules in biomechanics
  • HCPC registration

Desirable

  • Injection therapy qualification

Experience

  • Significant post graduate experience including working at Band 6 with Biomechanics/MSK
  • Worked as part of Podiatry and wider MDT
  • Supervision of junior staff

Desirable

  • Staff development and management of informal disciplinary matters
  • Policy/protocol development/ evaluation
