Job summary

We now have a vacancy for a new Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Lead. This fantastic opportunity is as a direct result of our Trust Boards commitment to our (necessarily) challenging EDI agenda. We are looking for an inspirational and passionate Head of EDI who will proactively lead the Equality agenda from a staff, patient and community perspective.

Main duties of the job

You will need to have significant evidence of experience of either leading or supporting the EDI agenda in a complex organisation and a proven ability to engage and challenge at all levels with internally and externally. You will be a cohesive and compelling communicator with an ability to coordinate projects effectively and lead them to conclusion in a timely manner. We are looking for someone to be a leader in words, actions and outcomes with evidence of achievement in your career and in life, with a fresh perspective and cutting edge thinking to support the achievement of our EDI ambitions and commitments.

You will be passionate about providing the best possible experience for our staff both present and future and ultimately delivering the highest standards of care for our patients.

  • Masters level qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline

  • Managing a team of junior staff with the full range of HR duties including PDR's, sickness absence management etc
