Job summary

The East Kent Neuropsychiatry Admin Team are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, customer focused, self-motivated Administrative Assistant to join our busy administration and reception team to provide support to the East Kent Neuropsychiatry Clinical Team and other administrative colleagues.

You will be supervised by the Band 3 Administrator in all aspects of administrative work and will be expected to liaise effectively with employees at all levels throughout the organisation as well as external organisations as required, using verbal, written and electronic media. You will be expected to work on your own initiative with the ability to organise and prioritise your workload.

We are looking for someone who has experience of electronic diary management, who is an excellent communicator, has excellent typing skills and has the ability to remain calm in sometimes difficult situations.

The nature of the role means that you will have front line contact with service users, carers and the general public, as well as other external professional stakeholders and internal colleagues.

Main duties of the job

Provide full administrative support and reception support to patients and to the clinical team, Band 3 Administrator and Business Administration Co-ordinator and other administrative colleagues.

Manage reception, meeting and greeting patients and their carers, taking incoming telephone calls, taking accurate messages and passing them to the appropriate person.
