Job summary
We need an effective and efficient communicator to support the Deputy Chief Medical Officer responsible for Revalidation and the HR Advisor -Medical to establish and maintain a robust local process to support appraisal and revalidation.
You will be responsible for the development, implementation and management of a robust annual appraisal system for all medical staff. To support in providing a professional and proactive revalidation process, giving advice on revalidation, appraisal and 360 appraisals to medical staff, Directors and Service Managers.
You must:
Be computer literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Database Applications
Be able to develop and prepare reports and collect and analyse data.
Be able to work to tight deadlines, working effectively under pressure.
Be an effective communicator - both verbally and written.
Possess excellent interpersonal skills.
Good written communication skills ability to draft correspondence and take minutes at meetings.
It would be an advantage if you have had experience working within a Medical Human Resources Department.
Main duties of the job
- To develop and demonstrate effective and productive working relationships with all stakeholders and external contacts where applicable. To communicate with all doctors on a regular basis providing and receiving information, monitoring appraisal compliance and ensuring there is no slippage. When there is slippage bringing this to the attention of the Deputy Chief Medical Officer and Medical Staffing Manager to help support the doctor to become compliant.
- To administer the process for quality assurance of the appraisal and job planning systems including the analysis of surveys and production of reports on the feedback and to ensure that the results input into the development of both the process and the appraisers skills To proactively monitor progress against the Trust's compliance target, sending timely reminders to key stakeholders, reporting on a regular basis as agreed, escalating any issues, concerns or potential barriers for not meeting our compliance target
