Job summary

To oversee the operational and strategic management of the business administration systems supporting the Directorate Psychiatric Liaison Services to ensure that facilities and resources are managed effectively.

Main duties of the job

The post holder, in collaboration with the Service Lead and Team leaders, will ensure that the service operates efficiently and effectively, achieving all the data quality, clinical activity and income targets.

The post holder will ensure that the service is compliant with all appropriate with Trust policies and initiatives and will assist with implementing or developing required actions in support of efficient service delivery.

  • Relevant degree of professional Qualification or experience
  • Evidence of continual professional development
  • GCSE or equivilent qualifications English Language and Mathematics grade A-C

Desirable

  • RSA 3 Secretarial or equivalent Qualification

Experience

Essential

  • Extensive administration and management experience with a thorough working knowledge of efficient and effective office procedures
  • senior level secretarial and administration experience
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • confident telephone manner

Desirable

  • oExperience of working in the NHS
  • oAbility to Supervise Staff

Knowledge and skills

  • Experience in a responsible administrative / secretarial role
  • Proven experience of office systems and procedures
  • Experience of minuting meetings
  • Experience of composing correspondence
