Job summary

A great opportunity has arisen within KMPT for an experienced, confident, self-motivated, forward thinking, organised, proactive and enthusiastic Administrator to join the Kent Clinical Neuropsychology Service to provide first class administrative support to the East Kent area. The post holder will be a satellite member based in Canterbury of the Medway Admin Hub, also providing administrative support to the Community Brain Injury Team (CBIT) and the ME/CFS service. This is an excellent opportunity to work as part of a dynamic and friendly team to provide professional administrative support, resolve day to day problems independently, and act as a source of advice for admin assistants.

We are looking for an individual who is able to work on their own initiative and has extensive experience in providing administrative support to a number of clinicians and also able to work in a wider team of administrators. The successful candidate will maintain an overall overview of the administration activities for the Kent Clinical Neuropsychology Service for East Kent.

Applicants should be educated to GCSE level in Maths and English or equivalent and NVQ Level 3/RSA level 3 or equivalent. You will need to have excellent organisational and keyboard skills, be a competent typist, possess a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, pay attention to detail and be able to adapt to changing/challenging situations.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be expected to organise work for self and other team members, and have front-line contact with service users, carers and the general public or other external stakeholders, as well as internal colleagues. Typing and preparation of correspondence, customer service, organisation e.g. maintenance of effective and efficient working systems, supporting business and performance management, diary management, and organising meetings and events is required.

The post holder will be the go to person for queries relating to Kent Clinical Neuropsychology Service for East Kent and will have centralised oversight for East Kent admin processes with the support of other members of the team. The job holder will manage practical issues in Canterbury, taking responsibility for the correct safekeeping of keys and Neuropsychology testing materials. This will include maintaining audits. They will be required to update, file and archive paperwork and test forms. They will be required to organise room bookings and help clients attend Gregory House and ECAO on the Canterbury site, as well as room bookings at other sites. Occasional visits to the Medway Admin Hub, Medway Maritime Hospital, will also be required.

The job holder will be expected to travel between bases in a timely manner.
