Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager role, working across the Kent and Medway Provider Collaborative and based in the Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust. We are looking for an organised and enthusiastic individual with a track record of leading improvements in partnership with reams. You will demonstrate strong project technical skills and the ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders to achieve improvements for patients.

Main duties of the job

The role is busy and varied, working closely with Project Managers and the wider team, to ensure delivery. The project manager will shape and implement core deliverables for the collaborative. You will be responsible for ensuring colleagues and partners are involved effectively and that projects progress in a timely manner. You will have a key role in producing papers and reports for relevant meetings. You will have strong and effective relationships within the provider collaborative team and with colleagues in partner organisations.

The successful candidate will have previous experience of delivering improvements in a complex environment, including involving teams in pathway or process redesign, setting and achieving milestones, identifying risks and putting in place appropriate mitigation. You will be able to produce reports to a high standard and gain buy in from a range of audiences

You will be a confident, innovative and motivated individual, focused on patient care, able to involve patients and wider stakeholders in your work and with a good understanding of healthcare inequalities.

  • oExperience of Microsoft Office software including word, excel and power point in order to undertake analysis and create high quality papers
  • oTrack record of achieving project milestones on time, with strong engagement
  • oExperience of gaining buy in for challenging projects
  • oExperience of line managing project staff and taking responsibility for team deliverables
  • oDemonstrable leadership experience with evidence of affecting change, process redesign and establishing monitoring/evaluation mechanisms within an NHS setting
  • oExperience of demonstrating inclusive project design involving patients or the public
  • oKnowledge and understanding of equalities issues relevant to the role
  • oAbility to persuade clinicians and senior managers to provide information to deadline
  • oAbility to identify project risks and put in place robust mitigation
