Job summary
Have you got experience working with service users and their carers?
The Specialist Equipment Services support patients with their long-term complex physical health, by provision of bespoke specialist equipment within environmental controls and prosthetics.
Our Therapy Support Worker will provide knowledge and expertise across the Specialist Equipment Services as part of the consultant-led multi-disciplinary team.
This will include taking the lead for some aspects of therapeutic work and ensuring the delivery of safe and effective therapeutic interventions for service users.
The Trust's values will be upheld in Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy practice.
Main duties of the job
You will work effectively as a member of the MDT assisting in designing and implementing individual or group interventions to promote the strengths and wellbeing of service users.
You will contribute to assessments of service users' functional strengths following defined processes, maintaining service users' dignity and privacy, observing changes both positive and negative and reporting appropriately.
And undertake clinically related administration, whilst assisting with non-clinical tasks to ensure the smooth running of the services, as delegated by an appropriate senior colleague.
