Would you like to be part of a forward thinking progressive inpatient service that is moving to a purpose-built new ward?
Ruby ward is looking for an enthusiastic OT to join their team. Ruby ward is currently based at Medway Maritime Hospital, however from August 2023 they will be moving to a state-of-the-art ward on the Priority House site in Maidstone. New Ruby ward has been designed from the ground up to provide a therapeutic environment. It will boast 5 gardens, including an occupational therapy specific garden. There will also be an ADL kitchen, therapeutic spaces and top of the range bathing and moving and handling equipment. The Maidstone site it situated close to local shops and a cafe.
KMPT offers an extensive preceptorship programfor newly qualified staff and the ward offers an opportunity to develop in your role with the support from an OT team.
Main duties of the job
As Occupational Therapists we are positioned to shape the culture of inpatient settings to promote a therapeutic day that co-exists to enhance therapeutic interventions and recovery focused ethos on the units.

Please be aware, although we are a Mental Health Ward, all staff are expected to wear PPE in line with Government Guidelines.
