This role will support the Procurement department in providing an effective and professionalprocurement service that delivers on-going cost efficiencies and benefits to the Trust in line withdepartmental objectives.

You will lead the procurement process for low to medium value supplies and services contracts,ensuring value for money and compliance with Trust Standing Financial Instructions (SFIs) and PublicProcurement Regulations.

You will also contribute towards the implementation of the objectives set out in the Trust Procurement Strategy, operational efficiencies and process improvements.

Main duties of the job

Following an internal promotion there is an opportunity within the Procurement Team at Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust, for a 12 month fixed term to help manage PPE within the team, the role will be Aylesford based.

Part of this involves developing an in house team to provide more timely and face to face support to a range of people, including clinical staff, managers and executive directors, and to ensure that team members have development and career opportunities.

The Procurement Services Officer will be the first point of contact for many of our stakeholders. Candidates for this role should be confident and understanding when dealing with callers, enquiries and problems.

You will have a customer service focus, proactively communicate with stakeholders taking ownership and responsibility for dealing with enquiries.
