Job summary

The Forensic Mental Health services specialise in the assessment and treatment of offenders with mental health conditions, serving the community of Kent and Medway.

Occupational Therapy staff are recognised as essential, core members of the multi-disciplinary team and, as well as personal and clinical development opportunities, we offer regular supervision, preceptorship and support for CPD activities.

Main duties of the job

Are you someone who enjoys using your core skills as an Occupational Therapist? Would you like to be part of a forward-thinking progressive service? We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Occupational Therapist with a passion to work in forensic mental health.

The successful applicant will form an integral part of the Occupational Therapy team providing care to service users in a community setting. The main responsibilities include working as part of the FOLS team to manage a caseload of patients and offering OT specific assessments and interventions. You would help co-ordinate and deliver a programme of individual and group work as part of the OT service offer for FOLS. You will have the opportunity to work with patients transitioning out of secure services looking to re-establish their independence and enabling them to develop the skills they need to thrive in a community environment.
