Job summary

We are looking for an experienced community mental health nurse, occupational therapist or social worker with experience of managing staff and who has experience or an interest in working in an Early Intervention in Psychosis service. The service is evolving and changing to meet demand and has a strong ethos of ensuring service users and their families/carers are central to leading their recovery. You will also support the team with managing complex cases and be expected to take the lead in specified areas of delivery and development of the service.

Main duties of the job

We have an exciting new vacancy for a Team Leader to join the Early Intervention in Psychosis Service (EIP) covering Ashford and Shepway . You will provide Operational Management and leadership to a multi-cultural team based at Folkestone Health Centre who provide specialist mental health care for people aged 14 to 65 years who present with a first episode of psychosis.

The role includes ensuring systems and processes exist to support staff performance in accordance with Trust objectives.

To report on and contribute to the monitoring, evaluation and audit of the performance and clinical practice of the locality service.

To liaise with and work collaboratively with other Service Lines to promote the interface between services and enhance patient experience and recovery.
