Deputy Chief Medical Officer (Clinical Quality & Safety) with Consultant Psychiatrist post

With a new medical management structure in place, we are looking to recruit a Deputy Chief Medical Officer to support the Chief Medical Officer with the delivery of the quality and safety agenda across the organization. The postholder will be expected to deliver in a clinical post (0.5PA) alongside the Deputy Chief Medical Officer role. A range of clinical posts are available across the organisation for this role. The renumeration for this post is 10 PA plus 0.5 PA and 3% Category A availability supplement for Consultant on-call and 2 PAs plus a responsibility payment of 10% for the 5 PA DMO role.

Main duties of the job

This is a full time consultant level post, working 0.50 WTE as Deputy Chief Medical Officer with the expectation that the other 0.50 WTE will be delivered in a clinical role. Clinical opportunities are available across adult and older adult psychiatry services which can be linked to the DMO posts. Successful applicants must have MRCPsych or equivalent and be on the Specialist Register and be fully registered with the GMC, as well as Approved Clinician and S12 approval under the Mental Health Act.
