Job summary

As a result, we have seen these new community staff nurse opportunities arise as our x2 existing nurses secured promotion to Community Psychiatric Nurses (band 6)within the locality

Main duties of the job

As a member of our multidisciplinary team you will support and lead holistic and autonomous nursing care whilst maintaining robust communication with other stakeholders. You will assess, plan, deliver and evaluate care and communicate your findings to provide the best possible care to residents of South Kent Coast. As we move away from CPA we at KMPT deliver interventions aligned to clinical care pathways providing quality, purpose and clarity.

Effective communication skills and self-governance is essential. You need to demonstrate knowledge of secondary care interventions and be able to demonstrate mental health assessment skills and will be required to lead or support core functions. We are keen to work with people to identify strengths and interests therefore roles can be a combination of different functions or indeed a specific function; These functions include;

Delivering Interventions - supervision provided; Depot and Clozapine clinic with a focus on Serious Mental Illness and physical wellbeing; Active Support - Low intensity psychological support and promoting self-guided intervention.

You will be expected to attend Dover/Deal & Shepway localities and a base site is negotiable.
