Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic registrar with an interest in Neurology to join our existing group of training registrars. The successful candidate will work alongside four training registrars undertaking the same inpatient and clinic work and be involved in the on call rota at a tertiary neuroscience centre in Sussex. Applicants must be able to undertake registrar duties and have completed MRCP or its equivalent. They must demonstrate past interest in neurology and competence in the management of acute neurological problems. They must have registration with the GMC and be eligible to work in the UK.

Main duties of the job

This post takes over from an existing locum neurology SpR post. The successful applicant will work alongside the four training neurology SpRs and undertake the same workload and responsibilities to ensure a functioning neurology SpR rota. This post would provide an excellent opportunity for a medical trainee with an interest in neurology to expand their clinical experience, participate in frequent learning sessions and explore audit and quality improvement projects prior to applying for higher training.
