Job summary

This is an opportunity for a highly experienced, and Masters educated leader to manage the Clinical Photography, GraphicDesign, and Video services at University Hospitals Sussex, as the Head of Clinical Media Centre.

You will be an expertly competent clinical photographer, with a high level of video production experience, and an understanding of Medical Illustration in the context of Graphic Design.

Main duties of the job

Essential qualities include experience of leading teams and managing staff, professional knowledge of communication and imaging in a healthcare setting, and professional registration with the Academy for Healthcare Science.

With a new build reaching completion in 2023, the Trust is expanding to provide specialised and tertiary services across Sussex and parts of the South East, including neuroscience, arterial vascular surgery, neonatology, specialized paediatric, cardiac, cancer, renal, infectious diseases and HIV medicine services.

You will be expected to continue develop CMC business strategy to additionally cover newly merged services, as well as the significant expansion of the Royal Sussex Hospital capacity next year. This will include presentation of business cases and setting Service Level Agreements for specific service areas, for example expansion of the teledermatology service, andimplementation of a trust-wide clinical photography mobile device app.
