There will also be opportunities to work in oncology outpatient clinics. The candidate will be fully supported to complete a project during their post suitable for their CV and potentially for presentation locally and/or nationally. There is also the opportunity to lead medical student teaching. All the specialty medicine departments have a strong ethos in support, training, education and service improvement. The post is Monday to Friday 9am-5pm (there can be some flexibility) with no on call commitments.
In Sussex we take pride in our supportive oncology department. We meet weekly on a Monday to discuss the inpatients and for mutual support, education and peer review as well as to discuss challenging cases. The post would suit a senior clinical oncology trainee, post FRCR or equivalent, looking for experience of SABR prior to applying for a consultant post.
