Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Psychologist to take up a role within the Intensive Home-Based Treatment Team (IHBTT) on a secondment basis to cover maternity leave for a year. The IHBTT team is a dynamic team working with adults with complex and often trauma related psychological needs presenting in crisis.
We are seeking a confident and enthusiastic clinician with specialist experience in adult mental health who is passionate about improving the delivery of psychological, recovery focussed and trauma informed care in the context of capacity and demand challenges.
The applicant should hold a first professional qualification in Clinical Psychology to Doctorate or equivalent. Accreditation with the HCPC is required for this post.

Main duties of the job
Professional and Clinical Leadership will be provided by a Consultant Psychologist based within the locality and there will be opportunities to gain support and to work closely with other psychological therapists within the bases for support and CPD. Further training may supported and funded within this trust.
We have strong links with the Clinical Psychology Doctorate course in Clinical Psychology and there are opportunities to offer placements for third year trainee clinical psychologists or for Service Evaluation Projects to be adopted. The Trust also has strong research and clinical outcome links via an Associate Director of Clinical Psychology, based within Huddersfield University. Audit and evaluation is encouraged and supported across the Trust.
