Manager to lead our CAMHS Single Point of Access (SPA) and Primary Intervention
Team (PIT). We are dedicated to ensuring that children, young people and
families receive the right care and support, at the right time.
The Single Point of Access
(SPA) is the first point of contact for referrals into Wakefield CAMHS. The
Primary Intervention Team (PIT) delivers early support, offers advice and
evidence-based interventions.
Your role as a CAMHS Team
Manager will require you to:
Lead and manage the team, ensuring high
standard of care and service delivery.
Develop and maintain strong working
relationships with partner agencies and stakeholders.
Promote a culture of continuous learning,
professional development and staff well-being.
Monitor performance, quality and outcomes,
implementing improvements where necessary.
Management of resources and line management of
staff members within the time.
The role involves a
combination of leadership, operational management, and strategic planning to
ensure services run efficiently and meeting the needs of children, young people
and their families.

Main duties of the job
Provide day-to-day management of the team, hold
excellent communication skills and ability to form positive working
relationships with Partners and Stakeholders.
Lead on recruitment, retention and induction of
staff.
Conducting managerial supervision, appraisals
and oversight of individuals development.
Managing performance and absence/staff
wellbeing.
Ensure the team are compliant with mandatory
training.
Support implementation and development of the
service and delivery.
Managing complaints from young people, families
and professionals.
Motivate, engage, empower and develop the team.
Lead and coordinate team communication,
including chairing regular team meetings.
Approving annual leave and ensure safe staffing
within the team.
Work closely with the team and the Clinical
Lead / Team Managers.
