We are
excited to invite you to join our supportive, forward-thinking CAMHS Team.
We are
seeking newly qualified and experienced HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist
to join our team.
With support
from senior clinical psychologists within the team, the successful candidate
will have the opportunity to further develop and shape psychological services
for children and young people.
The
post-holder will be responsible for the provision of a therapeutic
psychological / mental health service to children & young people presenting
with psychological distress and mental health difficulties. The role will
incorporate complex assessments leading to psychological formulations and the
delivery of effective interventions to this population. There will be ample
opportunity to offer consultation and psychological formulation support and
advice.
This role
will involve working across the Wakefield District, with opportunities to see
children in various community settings, as well as within CAMHS bases. A
flexible approach to travel is required to meet the needs of the service.

Main duties of the job
The ideal candidate will be:
Passionate about working with the children and
young people seen in our community CAMHS services.

with children, young people, their families/carers and networks
Demonstrate passion and enthusiasm about the

Be keen to maximize what psychologists can
deliver whilst also working with, and recognizing the strengths of, the
multi-disciplinary team.
Providing consultation, delivering training,
and offering supervision will be part of this role.
