We are
looking to appoint an Advanced Occupational Therapist to join our MDT. We are
particularly interested in applicants who have significant experience of working
with children and young people with intellectual disability and/or autism.
Demonstratable skills and training within Sensory Integration would also be desirable.
Experience
of multi-disciplinary working with complex young people, and service
development would also be desirable.
The role
will involve working across the Wakefield District, with opportunities to see
children in various community settings, as well as within CAMHS bases. A
flexible approach to travel is required to meet the needs of the service.

Main duties of the job
We are looking for a passionate and skilled Advanced
Occupational Therapist to join our CAMH team. Playing a key role in providing
assessments, complex formulation and interventions that are both evidence-based
and tailored to the individuals unique needs and context.
Collaborative working is central to this role,
as you will be part of a specialist MDT, working closely with other agencies
and across CAMHS pathways. Strong communication and teamwork skills are
essential to building effective relationships and sharing knowledge.
Supporting consultation, delivering training,
and offering supervision will be part of this role. Alongside carrying out
comprehensive assessments (including sensory assessments), developing bespoke
interventions to our neurodivergent Children and Young People.

programme, and annual appraisals.
