22.5 Hours Per Week

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Enhanced Pathway Team in the West of the district in Wakefield for a Senior Clinical/Counselling Psychologist or Highly Specialist Psychotherapist who enjoys multidisciplinary team working and has a desire for working creatively and collaboratively with adults with complex presentations within the context of Adult Mental Health Services.

The post holder will provide direct clinical work with clients who have complex needs as well as joint working with team members, team consultations, training and supervision.

This post is maternity leave cover and is offered as 22.5 hours per week.

We are a friendly and supportive team, and we offer a range of interventions and modalities of treatment. A large majority of our service users have complex trauma presentations, and we are keen to promote a trauma-informed approach within the team and across the organisation.

Main duties of the job

Provide therapy, consultation, training and supervision as a senior clinical member of the team.

The post will be supported through regular clinical supervision from the Principal Clinical Psychologist within the team.

The post would be well suited to those with an interest or training in DBT, EMDR, and/or SCM.
