South West Yorkshire Partnership Foundation Trust are
recruiting for an experienced substantive Specialty Doctor to join the Wakefield
CAMHS team based at Airedale Health
Centre, The Square, Fryston Road, Castleford WF10 3JJ. This new post will have a
vital part in ensuring our patients receive the care that they need and will be
an integral role within the Psychiatry pathway.
Main duties of the job
This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to

work in an experienced team of professionals, to ensure that all patients
receive high quality care. The team
comprises of multitude of experienced professionals, who are looking forward to
welcoming a new Psychiatrist.

You will be employed under the Specialty Doctor Terms and Conditions
with a salary within this payscale. In
addition, our Trust grants an additional two days annual leave to SAS
doctors with 7 years or more NHS experience at SAS grade.

Qualifications
Essential
- MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
- Fully registered with the GMC and have a licence to practise or be in a position to have a licence to practice on commencement in the post.
Desirable
- Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research or management.
- MRCPsych.
- In good standing with GMC with respect to warning and conditions on practice.
- Approved under S12 OR able to achieve with 6 months of appointment.
- Experience of working in NHS and CAMHS.
Experience
Essential
- Spent a minimum of four years (full time or equivalent) in postgraduate training in the UK or equivalent medical experience, of which at least 2 years in psychiatry
- AT least 6 month experience in CAMHS psychiatry.
- Excellent knowledge in specialty.
- Excellent clinical skills using bio-psycho-social perspective and wide medical knowledge.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Able to manage clinical complexity and uncertainty.
- Makes decisions based on evidence and experience including the contribution of others.
- Able to meet duties under MHA and MCA.
- Able to provide clinical leadership to a multi-professional team and liaise with a wide variety of agencies.
- Able to deliver undergraduate or postgraduate teaching and training.
- Participate in continuous professional development.
- Participate in research or service evaluation.
- Able to use and appraise clinical evidence.
