Job summary

Part Time = 30 hours per week

As the ELearning Coordinator you will undertake a variety of duties to support the functioning and development of the Trusts Elearning system and elearning packages for Learning and Development. This will involve supporting learners to resolve their own elearning issues, providing guidance and support, and facilitating elearning training.

Main duties of the job

Implement new E-Learning packages to support training requirements of the Trust and Corporate Learning Needs Analysis / Upload regional and national packages onto the ESR portal

Supporting learners to resolve their own E learning issues by various methods of communication and give IT training where needed

Facilitating E-Learning training by demonstrating e learning access to users

Work with external E-Learning providers to implement new packages into the Trust, report issues to regional e-learning system administrator, register new users and install software upgrades when required.

Work with subject specialists to review E Learning content and refresh as required

Support design of E-Learning materials

To assist with the auditing and evaluation of training programmes aiming to continuously improve them and provide evaluation reports.

Produce specific reports using ESR Business Intelligence to support Mandatory Training compliance agenda

Coordinate the learning activity undertaken through non ESR E platforms

  • Ensures that all requests from users for assistance are handled promptly and effectively; is pro-active to ensure that users make effective use of the facilities available to them.

KEY RESULT AREAS:

The postholder will:

Work with subject specialists to review E Learning content and refresh as required

Support design of E-Learning materials in conjunction with subject specialists using E-Authoring tools (eg, Lectora, Captivate)

Provide alternative options for learning using up to date technological solutions and alternative digital solutions rather than face to face training

Develop effective working relationships with clinicians and professionals internal and external, in order to ensure that appropriate training and support can be provided to them in the most effective and efficient way.

To ensure all training offered is user-focused and incorporates flexibility in order to meet the needs of people with different learning styles and patterns of work.

To assist with the auditing and evaluation of training programmes aiming to continuously improve them and provide evaluation reports.

To regularly update personal and professional skills relevant to the duties of the post.

Attend regional SIG meeting and be the lead contact for E learning within the Trust

Provide guidance and support to staff undertaking E Learning by multiple communication methods, verbal, electronic, telephone.

Produce specific reports using ESR Business Intelligence to support Mandatory Training compliance agenda

Promotion and marketing of E-Learning courses and blended learning via intranet, attending meetings, also using imaginative marketing tools in order to meet target audiences within the Trust

Coordinate the development of technological learning materials in partnership with other internal and external experts e.g. learning applications, SKYPE, use of innovative digital technology, pod casts.

Coordinate the learning activity undertaken through E platforms e.g. HLM 360 appraisal, NHS Leadership Academy platform, MBTI, EQI.Linking to both external providers and the NHS Leadership Academy

To develop and maintain coaching and mentoring registers, processing requests, managing electronics platforms, booking feedback sessions and updating learner records within ESR.

Develop a coaching register resource and link with HEE and neighbouring partnership organisation

Co-ordinate the psychometric feedback activity for the Trust, liaising with psychometric providers outside of the Trust, internal and external feedback facilitators and Trust staff.

Ensures that all requests from users for assistance are handled promptly and effectively; is pro-active to ensure that users make effective use of the facilities available to them.

Provide administrative support to the ICT Project manager - inclusive of use of spread sheets, the production of PC presentations using the Microsoft Office suite and preparation of training material in conjunction with the Training manager

Develop and manage efficient document management systems as required to ensure accurate records are maintained and version control systems implemented.

Deal with customers courteously at all times, diffusing stressful situations where conflict and unreasonable demands from users require tact & diplomacy.

Promote the department and services in a positive manner and (where appropriate) support forums/discussion/events, which may be held on any of the sites, as required.

Conduct him / herself in a professional manner at all times as a representative of the L&D department with internal and external services.

Undertake such training or study as may be required to maintain, strengthen or develop skills relevant to the post.
