37.5 hours per week - vacancies available across all our inpatient ward areas.

You will be required to attend Pre Assessment ID verification in person with your original ID on the 24th or 25th November.
The assessment centre will be the 29th November- this will be the only date.
We are currently seeking motivated and dynamic individuals to join our nursing teams on our Older Adult wards Beechdale and Ward 19.Beechdale is a 16 bedded inpatient ward on The Dales unit at Calderdale Royal Hospital. Ward 19 is an inpatient ward on Priestley unit at Dewsbury and District Hospital split into a 15 bedded male side and a 15 bedded female side with a staff group dedicated to each side.Both wards are for the assessment and treatment of any form of mental health condition for service users usually over the age of 65 years.We aim to provide the highest standard of inpatient assessment, treatment, and care in a safe, therapeutic, and least restrictive environment as possible. We are seeking new & experienced nurses who want to develop their career and have the essential qualities for this post.You will need to be passionate about improving the quality of care and support we deliver. You will have an interest in developing supportive networks and be able to demonstrate energy, drive, and enthusiasm.You will be thoughtful and resilient in the way you care for our service users in a busy mental health setting with exciting challenges.
Main duties of the job
You will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality care to our service users. You will work closely with nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to ensure our patients receive the best possible care. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting patients with personal care such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Supporting patients with mobility and ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Helping to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Providing emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Demonstrate reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Have a willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
- Kind and caring with a patient centred approach to success in your work.

Visa sponsorship under the Health and Care Worker visa route can only be considered if the prorated salary meets the minimum threshold of £25,000, as required by the UK Visas and Immigration. For Band 3 roles, only full-time positions at the top of the pay scale meet this threshold. Candidates will only be considered if they have two years recognisable service experience. Therefore, sponsorship may not be possible depending on salary increment placement and working hours.
