An exciting opportunity has arisen for a person to join the Integrated Change Team at South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (SWYPFT) working on the Trust wide portfolio of Integrated Change Programmes to support delivery of the strategic priorities of the Trust and improve our delivery of high quality, cost-effective services. This is an interim post until 31st March 2025.

The post holder will provide day to day change and improvement project support to assigned programme/project managers. The portfolio of change programmes/projects may be service specific or organisation-wide in support of on-going service improvement and business developments across a range of services provided by the Trust.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with teams and service users and carers across the Trust to improve services to the people of Barnsley, Calderdale, Kirklees, and Wakefield. You will be working in a hybrid manner which includes a mixture of home-based working and working from sites across the Trust, main base being Fieldhead Hospital Wakefield.

The successful candidate will be an integral member of the Integrated Change team and will support other members of the team as required and agreed with the Change Programme Manager.

Main duties of the job

The Project Support Officer will provide day to day change and improvement project support service to key work streams within the Trusts Priority Change Programmes. Your responsibilities include providing and coordinating general administration, project scheduling, meeting notes and minute taking, and basic facilitation using agreed service improvement tools and techniques. You will be expected to maintain the project library, database, resources and develop project support protocols for use in ICT and Trust change projects.

You will need previous experience of supporting projects and of working on change and improvement activities. You will need to possess a dynamic, proactive, and enthusiastic attitude. You will also need to have a combination of abilities to use a range of IT solutions to develop high end reports and presentations coupled with abilities and confidence to support at external engagement events and internal meetings.

You will work with a range of stakeholders across Trust operational services, with partners organisations and have some contact with service users and carers across the localities in which we operate as part of engagement and involvement activities.

You will possess the ability to work under pressure and prioritise own workload, often working to tight deadlines, to be able to use own initiative and work with minimal supervision.

You will help drive continuous improvement and ensure the trust values are reflected throughout.
