Job summary
Part time - 30 hours per week
The post holder is a member of the Facilities Team based in Housekeeping and Domestic Services and will be responsible for carrying out catering and cleaning duties across the Kendray Hospital site, reporting to Housekeeping and Domestic Supervisors and the Housekeeping Manager. The role requires flexibility in approach to the duties.
Main duties of the job
The cleaning and good housekeeping of the hospital environment and equipment.
The removal of refuse and soiled/infected linen and waste.
To undertake all patient related catering duties, including the preparation, production, delivery, presentation and removal of food.
The movement of goods.
To report any security matters which require attendance.
Responsible for the safety and security of any goods/equipment used.
To organise and sort goods/items in an effective manner for use and distribution.
Ensure an adequate supply of items/equipment necessary for the role are maintained.
Ensuring all communications are responded to in an efficient/timely manner.
To provide a warm professional welcome and supportive communication to Service Users and visitors to the Trust, providing an efficient and courteous service.
To ensure that the correct uniform and PPE is worn at all times whilst on duty.
To undertake the duties of any of the specific job role ensuring that all procedures, correct practices are adhered to.
