Job summary

We are currently seeking a motivated and dynamic individual to join our nursing team as a Staff Nurse on our Older Adult ward in Calderdale, known as Beechdale Ward.

Ward 19 is a mixed gender ward based at The Dales Unit, Calderdale Royal Hospital and is for the assessment and treatment of any form of mental health condition for service users usually over the age of 65 years. Our multi-disciplinary ward team also comprises Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapy, a dedicated Consultant Psychiatrist and Consultant Psychologist.

As part of your role as a staff nurse on the ward you will be involved in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care. Under the guidance of the nursing team, you will be supported in developing skills that will allow you to provide the highest standard of inpatient assessment, treatment, and care in a safe, therapeutic, and least restrictive environment as possible.
