An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Kirklees Rehab & Recovery Service at Enfield Down Hospital in Honley.
We currently have 2 x 30hours per week Vacancies available for hard-working and enthusiastic individuals that are interested in delivering quality household maintenance and upkeep within the inpatient setting.
We are looking to recruit a Housekeeper to provide a high standard of domestic, catering and general household duties within a ward environment for people with mental health problems. Duties will be carried out in line with the National standards of cleanliness and having due regard to Health and Safety, Food Hygiene and COSHH regulations.
The post will involve manual handling duties, dexterity whist using floor equipment, stretching, bending, lifting light weight, pushing and pulling equipment.
All members of hospital staff are required to respect the confidentiality of matters relating to patients, and report any adverse incidents to their Line Manager.
At the time of advertising, this role does not meet the minimum requirements set by UK Visas and Immigration to sponsor candidates to work in the UK. For this reason, we are unable to sponsor anyone for a skilled worker visa for this role
Main duties of the job
The
post holder will work as an integral part of the team, responsible for the
coordination of all Hotel Services within the Ward area and work as part of the
multi-professional team, to ensure a clean, safe and comfortable environment.
The
main elements of the role include catering responsibilities, cleaning, ordering
of stores, minor maintenance of equipment and re-stocking of areas together
with other specified tasks as directed by the Housekeeping Supervisor. The post
holder will be required to work closely with contractors, support services,
monitor quality standards, report deficiencies, and take appropriate action.
The
post holder will ensure that the Ward is always safe and tidy, there must be a
high standard of cleanliness maintained e.g. remove clutter, keep area tidy.

in charge of the department and accountable to the Ward Manager. Regular
contact to be maintained with the supervisor and access at all times throughout
working hours.
Successful
candidates will assist in monitoring and maintaining cleaning standards and
infection control practices in the Ward area as appropriate. As well as
monitoring and co-ordinating other adhoc maintenance. Liaising with Estates
Helpdesk as required for other services.

available at all times to meet service user requirements
To
launder bed linen within the unit as required and in accordance with Trust

Support
Service users in guiding them to use laundry equipment when required.

with multidisciplinary teams (nursing staff, catering, dieticians and
facilities) to ensure service users receive special diets in accordance with
nutritional requirements and care plans.
Liaise
