SPECIALTY DOCTOR IN General Adult Community South Kirklees Enhanced Team 1 & 2

Permanent, full time, 10 Programmed Activities per week plus on-call

South West Yorkshire Partnership Foundation Trust are recruiting two Specialty Doctors to join the South Kirklees Enhanced Teams, 1 & 2 based at the Folly Hall Mills, Huddersfield. This role plays a vital part in ensuring our patients receive the care that they need and will be an integral role within the Enhanced Team.

This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to join a friendly, supportive and experienced team. The postholder will work in an experienced team of professionals, to ensure that all patients receive high quality care. The team comprises of multitude of experienced professionals, who are looking forward to welcoming a new Psychiatrist.

Qualifications

Essential

  • MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.

Desirable

  • Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research or management.
  • MRCPsych.
  • Additional clinical qualifications.

Experience

Essential

  • Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment.
  • Spent a minimum of four years (full time or equivalent) in postgraduate medical experience in the UK or equivalent medical experience. At least 2 years experience in psychiatry.
  • Approved under S12 OR able to achieve within 6 months of appointment.

Desirable

  • In good standing with GMC with respect to warning and conditions on practice.
  • Experience working in other medical specialties including general medicine, geriatric medicine and A&E.

  • Excellent knowledge in specialty.
  • Excellent clinical skills using bio-psycho-social perspective and wide medical knowledge.
