An exciting opportunity is
available for an experienced SALT in the Calderdale Neurodevelopmental Team.
The successful candidate will be part of the senior clinical team in CAMHS and
will be supporting service development, supervising staff and students as well
as offering training to the CAMHS teams.
They will also provide specialist
diagnostic assessment to children and young people through face-to-face
assessments in a clinic setting. They will work collaboratively with the
Multi-Disciplinary Team to analyse information and to identify when further
assessment is required in order to provide an outcome to the neurodevelopmental
assessment.

Main duties of the job
To undertake
neurodevelopmental assessments through a one-to-one assessment and a
neurodevelopmental interview.
To offer
additional assessments such as a school observation or ADOS.
To be able to
support the neurodevelopmental team with the interpretation of QB tests.
To use the
diagnostic criteria to analyse information obtained from assessment and present
findings to the Multi-Disciplinary Team.
To participate
in Multi-Disciplinary Team meetings by supporting assessment discussions and
formulation.
To feedback
assessment outcomes verbally and in writing to children, young people and their
support systems.
To offer
supervision and training to the team and partner agencies.
To support and
supervise SALT students on placement.
To contribute
to service development including right to choose and attendance at
local/regional meetings.
To
support screening of referrals.

To be the Specialist Speech and
Language Therapist in the Service Autism Pathway.
To participate in the coordination,
development and provision of Speech and Language Therapy Pathway to the
Service for Adults with ADHD & Autism.
To be part of the Autism diagnosis
Pathway in a way consummate with the Band.
To oversee the clinical provision
of specialist input to clients with autism and provide assessment and
advice to the client group, their carers and other professionals.
To develop and provide training to
clients, their carers and other professionals.
To provide
