Consultant Psychiatrist in Old Age Psychiatry (2 WTE)

Full Time, permanent, 10 Programmed Activities per week

South West Yorkshire Partnership Foundation Trust are recruiting two Consultant Psychiatrists to join the Kirklees Old Age CMHT team based at Beckside Court. This role plays a vital part in ensuring our patients live well, in the community and will be an integral role within the team.

The role will appeal to individuals who wish to work in a community team and to be involved in service development. This role will be involved in shaping the future of services within the Kirklees area and the medical education team are keen to work with the appointee to become a recognised trainer.

  • Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment.
  • Included on the GMC Specialist Register for Older People / Dual training OR within six months of gaining CCT.
  • Approved clinician status OR able to achieve within three months of appointment.
  • Approved under S12 OR able to achieve within three months of appointment.

Desirable

  • In good standing with GMC with respect to warning and conditions on practice.

Qualifications

Essential

  • MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.

Desirable

  • Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research or management.
