Full Time, 10 Programmed Activities per week, fixed term until September 2024

South West Yorkshire Partnership Foundation Trust are recruiting for a Fixed Term Consultant Psychiatrist to join General Adult Community Team based at Folly Hall Mills in Huddersfield. This role plays a vital part in ensuring our patients receive the care that they need.

This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to join a friendly, supportive and experienced team. The postholder will work an experienced team of professionals, to ensure that all patients receive high quality care. The team comprises of multitude of experienced professionals, who are looking forward to welcoming a new Psychiatrist.

Essential

  • Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment.

Desirable

  • In good standing with GMC with respect to warning and conditions on practice
  • Included on the GMC Specialist Register for general adult psychiatry, or within six months of gaining.
  • Approved clinician status OR able to achieve within 12 months of appointment.
  • Approved under S12 OR able to achieve within three months of appointment.

Qualifications

Essential

  • MBBS or equivalent medical qualification

Desirable

  • Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research or management.
  • MRCPsych
  • Additional clinical qualifications.

Experience

  • Excellent knowledge in Specialty.
  • Excellent clinical skills using bio-psycho-social perspective and wide medical knowledge.

Desirable

  • Wide range of specialist and sub-specialist experience relevant to post within NHS or comparable service
