Job summary
As a chaplain you will support the work of the Pastoral and Spiritual Care Department and be responsible for visiting in-patient services and community sites across the Trust when requested by the senior chaplains. You will be part of a small but innovative and enthusiastic team that provides pastoral and spiritual care across the Trust.
An NHS Chaplain promotes pastoral and spiritual wellbeing for patients, service users, staff and carers. They provide support for people in distressing or traumatic situations when they are often at their most vulnerable or in crisis.
Main duties of the job
Forms good working relationships with staff, patients, service users and carers
Responds to requests for chaplaincy support either by referral or when attending the wards
May be requested to attend MDT meetings and ward reviews
Will attend Chaplaincy update meetings
Works ecumenically with people of faith or none, diverse backgrounds, cultures and religions.
