Fixed Term, full time, 10 Programmed Activities per week plus on-call

South West Yorkshire Partnership Foundation Trust are recruiting for a Specialty Doctor to join the Barnsley Learning Disabilities Service based at Mapplewell Health Centre ,Barnsley. This role plays a vital part in ensuring our patients receive the care that they need and will be an integral role within the Barnsley Learning Disabilities Service.

Essential

  • Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment.
  • Spent a minimum of four years (full time or equivalent) in postgraduate medical experience in the UK or equivalent medical experience. At least 2 years experience in psychiatry.
  • Has engaged in clinical practice for at least 3 out of the last 5 years including all of the last 12 months.

Desirable

  • LD, ADHD, ASD, CAMHS, OPS, Liaison, in-patient and community experience.

  • Good clinical skills using bio-psycho-social perspective and wide medical knowledge.
  • Makes decisions based on evidence and experience including the contribution of others.
