1 x 22.5 hours per week
We are looking to appoint a dynamic, motivated, enthusiastic
& forward-thinking Therapy Assistant to work within our Neurological Rehabilitation Unit.
The NRU is a 12 bedded local
specialist rehabilitation unit that provides a neurological rehabilitation
service which enables patients with long term neurological conditions including
patients with an acute injury or episode, to access rehabilitation that is
coordinated, timely & responsive to patient needs.
The
successful applicant will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team alongside Physiotherapists &
Occupational therapists on the unit.
As Therapy Assistant you will work under the
guidance of our qualified therapists to deliver treatment plans. You will have
excellent communication skills to support & motivate patients to
participate in their rehabilitation programmes.
Hours of work will include weekends and bank
holidays.
At

As Therapy Assistant you
will:
Work
in close liaison with the wider MDT, therefore excellent communication &

in training, education, & clinical supervision to develop skills & knowledge
& apply continuous reflection on own practice

using your initiative and judgment when delivering tasks
Develop and maintain meaningful therapeutic relationships with people
