The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) have an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join our expanding team. Barnsley CAMHS is situated within New Street Health Centre and are currently on a journey of rapid improvement. We provide advice and support to children, young people, families, carers, and a wide range of professionals regarding emotional and mental health.

Main duties of the job
The role of the HCSW in CAMHS is varied and exciting. You will support our qualified practitioners deliver care and interventions within The Assessment and Primary Intervention Team. You will play a crucial role in supporting Branching Minds, based at Churchfields in Town, which is the front door of our service. You will support by gathering of information, joining Triage discussions; to ensure young people get access to the right support from the right service as soon as possible, and ensure timely communication to referrers, Young people, their families and we work collaboratively with our colleagues Compass Be on a rota basis.
You will support practitioners deliver therapeutic interventions to help young people on their recovery journey, this could be through 1-1 work or through group based interventions.
