Job summary

1 x 18.75 hour post

Your primary responsibility will be to support our learners with any queries relating to the college and enrolment process via telephone, email and face-to-face.

By joining our team you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals facing mental health challenges. You will be par of a supportive dynamic environment working collaboratively with a team of enthusiastic professionals.

At the time of advertising, this role does not meet the minimum requirements set by UK Visas and Immigration to sponsor candidates to work in the UK. For this reason, unfortunately we are unable to sponsor anyone on a skilled worker visa for this role for the time being.

Main duties of the job

Your primary responsibility will be assisting our learners right from the enrolment process through to their attendance and completion of courses and workshops. You will make sure learners know where their classrooms are and assist with any paperwork related to their course.

You will also deal with external agencies, partners and our volunteers, therefore communication skills are paramount.

You must be able to demonstrate compassion and empathy whilst communicating with our leaners.

Assist with general clerical duties appropriate to the role eg, reception duties, dealing with post, photocopying, ordering/requisitioning, reporting faults, filing/retrieval, booking appointments, faxing, scanning, diary management, petty cash, minute/note taking and the collation and distribution of data.

Act as a point of contact for the team/service. Provide a friendly and professional service, deal with enquiries from a multitude of sources, via a variety of means eg, face to face/phone/e-mail/letter/faxes. Exercise a degree of initiative, analysis, judgements/problem solving or directing on/esculating, as appropriate. Accurately record and up date department/service computerised/maual records and systems, tracking service user records as appropriate and in accordance with operating procedures, collate and provide data as directed.
