Job summary
2 x 37.5 hour training posts - fixed term until 31 March 2025
This is an excellent opportunity to work within an Barnsley NHS Talking Therapies Service service whilst receiving training and developing skills in the assessment and treatment of anxiety and depression. You will also be given the opportunity to develop group work skills, promote the service in the community, develop an awareness of what other services can help clients. This is a supported fast paced work environment but a very rewarding job as you seen the positive impact that researched based treatment can have on clients lives as well as learning personal skills for life.
Main duties of the job
As a trainee PWP then you attend University in Sheffield one day a week and the rest of the week work within the Barnsley Talking Therapies service. The team are very supportive and there will be lots of opportunities to shadow qualified PWPs, work with clients in a 1-1 and group setting as well as being involved in service development projects. The service is based in Cudworth but work across the whole of Barnsley, we are currently providing a mixture of face to face, telephone, and online treatment.
