An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and
organised individual to join the Senior Operations Management team within the
Division of Surgery at The Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust. We are looking for an inspirational leader
with outstanding management skills and expertise.
The successful candidate will lead the Access, Booking &
Choice team within the Division of Surgery. This Trust-wide service provides
services on all three hospital sites, overseeing elective care booking for
outpatients, pre assessment and theatres for our patients. It also incorporates the Trust Reception and Medical
Records function.
Leading this administrative function for the organisation
requires extensive operational experience and knowledge of delivering of access
targets. The role is responsible for
ensuring that the service design and delivery is based on best practice,
systems and processes that support delivery of the key principles identified as
part of the national planning guidance, elective recovery guidance and local
priorities. The delivery of outpatients
is undergoing dramatic change at pace and this role is a great opportunity for
the right candidate to embrace the service transformation and digital
modernisation.
Successful candidates will be invited to take part in a stakeholder panel on Monday 7th August 2023, with interviews taking place on Tuesday 8th August 2023.
Main duties of the job
The Deputy Divisional Operations Director (DDOD) will provide
excellent leadership to staff within the Division with responsibility for the
efficient and effective management of the Division, including:
- Ensuring efficient management of the day to day operations,
ensuring delivery of all services and access performance measures, delivery of
quality measures and sound financial management.
- Ensuring robust systems of governance and communication.
- Development of the Divisional Business Plan which will be in
line with the Trust's overall strategy and objectives
- Ensuring that robust capacity & demand plans are in
place and managed.
You will be expected to participate in the senior manager on
call rota and contribute to strategic and operational decision making so must
be confident and have an ability to communicate at all levels with a clear
demonstration of Trust Values and Behaviours.
